The Times of London had an article about a study in JAMA Internal Medicine about doctors prescribing excessive antibiotics. They prescribed more antibiotics for acute respiratory infections when they saw patients at a time when they were tired or at the end of a shift when they were hungry. Jeffrey Linder from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston who was the lead author suggests shorter sessions, more breaks or may be even snacks to remedy the problem!
