Cancer breath test trial by Imperial College
A world-first pancreatic cancer breath test is being trialled by the NHS in UK . The test, which will be used on 6,000 patients by Imperial College London scientists, detects a combination of “volatile organic compounds” present in the breath. Pancreatic Cancer UK said it could “revolutionise” care for patients because symptoms can be vague and caught too late.
