I am no dermatologist. I need a dermatologist to guide me in treating a skin condition.

One of the workers in the area came to me in early January for a skin problem. He had had a spreading itchy skin lesion for over a month on the lower abdomen. He had been rubbing it as it had become very itchy. The 1st picture show it as I saw it in January.

As the only treatment I knew was to prescribe a steroid cream, I told him to apply Betnovate. Within 2 weeks it seemed to settle down and he was happy. He came back today and said the lesion had come back again and was spreading towards his back. The second picture was taken today.

Please let me know what this is and what the treatment is.
